A challenging, but ultimately rewarding vintage in the UK. Tiny quantities of good fruit were produced for still wines. A cool start to the year with thirteen air-frosts during April. Rain during flowering caused relatively low fruit set. Good canopy management and hands-on vineyard work was essential.
