Melbury Vale Decadence Brut

A single vineyard blend of Seyval Blanc and Pinot Noir. On site at Melbury Vale Vineyard they have one block of established Seyval Blanc vines and one block of established Pinot Noir vines. While Pinot Noir is traditionally used in sparkling wine, Seyval Blanc has become a go-to English preference for sparkling production. Pinot Noir and Seyval Blanc at Melbury Vale ripen about the same time and are checked for sugar levels that are ideal for sparkling.  This wine is a pale coral pink color with fine bubbles typical of a high quality English sparkling wine. On the nose there are aromas of fresh summer berries and meadow flowers, and on the palate there are bright notes of ripe strawberry, watermelon, and lime zest.

Food Pairings: goes well with Dorset shellfish dishes, smokey pulled pork, and with cake after tea
