Seaton Vineyard Sparkling Red 2018

The Rondo grapes from our Seaton vineyard were wonderfully ripe in 2018. A red was made at first, shortly after we had an idea to try making it in to a sparkling red due to its very fruit forward nature. This wine was bottled and allowed to go through secondary fermentation inside bottle, after which it was aged for a minimum of 9 months, disgorged and aged on cork for a minimum of 6 months before release.

Winemakers notes:
Something a little different, but red sparklings are not unheard of in parts of Australia and the Loire valley, France. This wine is dark garnet in colour, young and lively showing a steady stream of bubbles. Aromas are fruit forward showing blackberry, cherry and blackcurrant. The palate is lively, with pronounced fruit and a balanced medium sweet finish. A carefree fun wine thats not taking itself too seriously, the joker in Knightors wine range!
